It’s Day Three of InEight’s 10 Days of Feature Favorites! I’m Dominic Cozzetto, Product Director for Estimate here at InEight. Today I am sharing how one of my favorite features can help you reduce manual steps in estimating by reusing takeoffs across quantities and handling unit conversions automatically.

I love this feature because by assigning a filter you are automatically bringing in quantities after they have been added from Bluebeam (or other sources in the near future). Another great benefit of this feature is the use of the Takeoff Driver selection, letting you use the same take-off for multiple quantities. The cherry on top is that the system converts the quantity based on the UOM of the takeoff to the UOM of the Cost item, pounds to tons for example. Overall, it’s a powerful feature that allows you to keep your quantities both consistent and reliable.
