I’m working on connecting all the tagging fields available across different sections of InEight Estimate. For Cost Item tags, we currently have 25 validated tags (drop-down options) and 15 User Defined Fields (UDFs), which are free-text fields.
Recently, we learned that UDFs 12–15 are linked to the model, allowing data to be pulled from the model back into the estimate. My question is regarding the Custom 1–5 fields at the resource level in the CBS register:
- Where do these fields connect?
- I haven’t been able to tie them to other registers, and they don’t appear in the resource register. They seem to be visible only within the actual Resource Employment Record (RER).
Has anyone found another location or method to cross-reference these custom codes outside of the RER?
